Privacy policy

What we collect

When you sign up for launch updates, we store the email address you enter, which version of the sign-up note you saw, and when you first and most recently signed up.

We don't store your IP address or browser details, we don't ask for your name, and this site sets no cookies. To see how the site is used, we look at visit counts from Cloudflare Web Analytics (see below).

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts this site and the database that holds sign-ups. To serve and protect the site, Cloudflare sees standard request data, such as your IP address.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to this site. When a page loads, it sends Cloudflare the page's address, the site you came from, how long the page took to load, and your browser, operating system and device type. Cloudflare adds the country you're visiting from. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and Cloudflare says it collects no personal data and doesn't track you across other websites. • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a sign-up comes from a person, not a bot. It loads only once you start filling in a sign-up form, runs in Cloudflare's own frame, and is covered by Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.
• When someone new signs up, we get a notification through OH HAI, our messaging tool. It contains only a running count of sign-ups, never your address. If the bot check fails, we get one too, with only the reason and Cloudflare's error code.

How we use it

We use your address only to email you when we launch something: one email per launch. We don't sell your information or share it for advertising, and we don't show ads.

How long we keep it

We keep your address until you ask us to remove it, or until we close the list.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email info@nomadicoutdoor.com. We act on every request within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking.

There's no unsubscribe link yet, so for now removal is by email.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don't track visitors across other websites, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing here. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, which we don't do anyway.

Tracking by other companies

No third party collects information about your browsing over time and across other websites through this site. Our only analytics is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't track you across sites, and we run no ads or social media widgets.

Cookies

This site doesn't use cookies, and it stores nothing in your browser: no local storage, session storage or browser database. We run no ads, and our only analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, uses no cookies either.

Two parts of the site come from Cloudflare: Web Analytics, described above, and Turnstile's bot check. Turnstile loads only once you start filling in a sign-up form, and the check itself runs in Cloudflare's own frame, so anything it keeps there belongs to Cloudflare and is covered by Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.

If we ever add something that needs a cookie the site doesn't need to work, such as ads or embedded videos, we'll ask you first, with a Reject button as easy to use as Accept, and we'll treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a no.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information, and we delete it if we learn we have.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Before any material change to how we use sign-up emails, we'll email the list first.
